Lasers are the effect that turns a lighting rig into a show. 4Life Entertainment produces laser shows for concerts, festivals, nightlife and corporate events across the NYC Metro Area, New England and the Northeast, and lasers are part of our seasonal install at Central Park SummerStage.
Our laser packages run high-output full-color projectors programmed on FB4 show control, timed to the set and designed for the room. Beam shows, aerial effects, audience scanning where it is permitted, and graphics and logo projection are all available. Lasers have been part of our builds for Tipper & Friends, Central Park SummerStage and festival stages across the region.
Every laser show comes with a Laser Safety Officer on site and the paperwork the jurisdiction requires. That means the federal variance, any notifications the state or city requires for audience-scanning and outdoor shows, defined safety zones and a show plan the venue and the fire authority can sign off on. Laser shows pair naturally with our lighting rigs, CO2 jets and haze so the whole look cues from one desk. Tell us the venue, the date and the set and we will send a design and a quote.
Laser shows are quoted as a package: projectors sized to the room, programming time, the operator, the Laser Safety Officer, the paperwork and the haze. Indoor terminated shows can be confirmed within a couple of weeks; audience scanning and outdoor shows need four to eight weeks for the filings. Tell us the date early and the paperwork is never the thing that holds up the show.

Questions we get
Do I need a permit for a laser show?
Audience-scanning and most outdoor shows in New York and Massachusetts require notification or variance paperwork and a Laser Safety Officer on site. We handle the filings, the safety zones and the LSO.
Can lasers be programmed to a DJ set or a live band?
Yes. Shows are programmed on FB4 show control and cued live by the operator to the set, or timecoded for a produced show.
Do lasers work in a bright room or outdoors?
Lasers need haze or fog to read as beams, and they are most effective after dark. Outdoors we schedule the laser portion for the night sets and add haze or fog where the site allows.
Can you add lasers to a show another vendor is producing?
Yes. A standalone laser package with its own operator and LSO is a common booking on top of a house or touring rig.
